Summer Expeditions...

okay...so i'm going to try and get into this whole "blogging" thing.  

i have only been through the first week of school and class work is piling up already, so there will be times when blogging will not be done, but i will do my best.

i am also trying to document my life a little...so this should be fun.  :)

this summer i spent 95% of my time in riverside, summer school & working.

the other 5% was spent at home :) in sanjose. 

here is a quick summary (illustrated with photos) that will key you in on what my summer was all about!

okay well first and foremost, i had the privilege of living with an old classmate (old as in someone i have not seen or hung out with in a while...not "old" like grandpa) Ning.

that was a lot of fun...NING you are AWESOME! she cooked for me...burned cds...hosted guests...and would talk to me while i was half asleep so i wouldnt remember...good times ning.

Disneyland is a must doing the summer, well during ALL seasons really, but a very important part of  the summer...i was able to tag along with an awesome bunch :)

Now, this is where i spend 5% of my time, in san jose.  I believe i went home twice this summer during weekends...not much but its something.  I miss home everytime i "visit".  :(

Boba has always been yummy to me, but this summer i realized that i had been getting the same flavor of boba for about 6 years now!!! (Milk tea) So i decided to broaden my horizon and try some new flavors, riggghht??! so i think Taro and Honeydew were my new favorites :)

Unfortunately my brother was accepted into the Fresno State Conducting Masters Program...boohoo...He left at the beginning of August and I miss him very much.  It is weird being at LSU without him.  But! we got to throw him a surprise farewell party, so that was fun :) SURPRISE! 

I know its sad... but to de-stress from all this i went to Glen Ivy Hot Springs this many times :)

Musicfest 08: I was very lucky to had been chosen as one of the four or five photographers that night...I had a blast! and the musicians were awesome!!

oh forgot to mention that Ning almost died like TWICE this summer!! hahah....here is a photo of her eating on the floor after she nearly passed out from her allergic reactions.

Sarai: About 3 summers ago, Sarai and I had our best summer together.  We were working, driving, and just having fun! What an awesome time! But since I moved out to LSU it has never been the same.  She has visited me a couple of times here at LSU but never in the summer. When she came to visit we did everything you could do in this part of town! Everything from Glen Ivy to Disney to Venice Beach-right before it closed- to Pinkberry (we dont have those in San Jose).  Sarai, thanks so mucho for visiting! It's like we had our little own summer together..haha.  This is us at our attempt to appear glamourous in California Adventures.

Sushi was also a very essential part of my summer :) (of my whole life actually)

Towards the end of the summer, after Darren took his MCATS and i finished summer school, we decided it was time to visit San Jose again...Darren & I....I got the chance to show him around, take him to my favorite places to eat and hang out.  Here are several pics of us mini golfing at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

So there you have it. That was my SUMMER 2008... Hope you enjoyed my review, I hope and plan to blog more often.  This is my senior year in undergrad so i'm hoping to have many more sleepless nights, awesome talks with friends and colleagues, an over abundance of post-its and more adventures to come. :)
