HAPPY SABBATH!

Our schedule is now changing a bit because are now eating more and drinking less.  We are still taking the Breakfast Juice, Paratox, Carrot Juice, Detox Tea and just recently started the Liver Flush. Oh, the Liver Flush.  This drink consists of lemon juice, orange juice, ginger, garlic, and cheyenne.  Kind of tastes like salad dressing.  It was a little strong for me at first, but it is becoming one of my favorite drinks :)

Crystal prepared a fruit salad this morning with peaches, strawberry, blue berries, raspberries, bananas, and topped with flax seeds.  Served along with the Breakfast drink.  

Now we're having a church service along with a health lecture.  Learning so much and feeling motivated  to continue this healthy lifestyle :)

We didn't get food till dinner today but to tell you the truth, I wasn't hungry.  I feel like I can continue the fast for a couple more day.  But Yvettes not going to pass up foood! No way! lol
Crystal is a lovely hawaiian lady who is a Raw/Vegan Chef.  She calls her food, Live Food.  Crystal demonstrated how to make flax seed crackers using a dehydrator and ended her presentation by tossing together a green salad with a vegan french dressing.  Since I haven't eaten in a couple of days, the flavors of the greens, veggies, and dressing were kind of strong.  Delicious and tasty :)  

We are now being reintroduced to food but only eating raw food.  Crystal has fruit salads, green salads, and more planned for the rest of the program.  

We cleaned and had everything ready for the sabbath. Hit the sack nice and early :)

Since I've been feeling overwhelmingly fatigue for the first couple of days, I decided to sleep in a little today.  I woke up at 7:30am rather than 5:45am and now I feel wonderful! Refreshed and rejuvenated! 
We helped juice and serve some drinks then took a walk with the rest of the group.  Darren and I were wearing our TOMS and didn't have time to get our running shoes so we decided to stroll in our TOMS, wasn't too bad.  Getting some fresh air really felt good.  The weather in Lodi is great! In the AM it's in the 60's, Mid afternoon it's 70's-80's and the evenings back to 60s...delish.    

The rest of the day was filled with cleaning bathrooms and juicing carrots.  Blah.

Really looking forward to tomorrow. :)

As you may have caught on to, our schedule is the same on MON-FRI.  

Feeling extremely fatigue today.  Since I'm out and about, I haven't found time to rest and relax.  

I honestly don't remember much from today.  So I'll talk more about our drinks.  My favorite drink so far is the Breakfast Drink. This drink is given to us in the morning and consists of fresh apple juice, flax oil, flax seed, and Danny's Super Manna.  This drink is delicious! Why haven't I discovered flax seeds sooner!?! 

My second fave drink is the Carrot Juice.  We add greens to the mix as well (parlsly, chard, beets, spinach, etc).  My love for Carrot Juice dates back to my childhood when my mom used to wake up 3 hours before we had to leave to juice carrots and beets.  Then she would sit by our bed side until we finished a full 16oz and a shot of barley grass.  LOL.  Those were the days.  Now I really appreciate her efforts to keep us healthy.  Juicing is a lot of work!

So I ended the day with some hydrotherapy (aka going from the sauna to a cold shower, 3 times).  This definitely was refreshing and relaxing.  I think you can get the same effect from switching your hot water to cold while in the shower.  The shock of temperature difference is supposed to be good for you.  Side note for girls: it also locks in the moisture and give your hair more shine :)

That's all for now.  We are learning so much from Danny's lectures but don't have time to blog about them now.  I'll insert more when I have some down time :)

Tried the coffee enema for the first time.  We were so busy yesterday with learning how to make all the drinks that we never got around to doing our enemas.  Danny Vierra has us doing coffee enemas rather than water.  I am very sensitive to coffee so we diluted mine.  Danny said we should feel an "oh WOW!" after the coffee enema but I didn't really it.  I did feel lighter though, lol. TMI? haha.

We drink the Poultice 5 times a day! The Poultice drink consists of psyllium husks, charcoal, clay, flax seeds and fresh apple juice.  I don't taste bad, but we have to drink it fast because it clumps up and eventually turns into jelly.  

Found some time between the juices to go to the gym today.  Exercising was so difficult due to being extremely fatigue from the fast and helping prepare the juices.

Hopefully I'll feel more energized as the week goes on.

Waking up and staying awake was probably the hardest part of the day.  I was dragging my feet all day. I usually wake up around 8 or 9 am, so 5:45am was not pretty.  I must admit, the mornings are beautiful here! I really want to become a morning person.  Is this possible? I hope so.  The day just feels better when you wake up with the sun rising.  

First time chugging seawater.  The Vierra's go to the ocean of Half Moon Bay, gather gallons of this stuff, boil it and demand that we drink half a gallon first thing in the morning.  BLAH! We have to drink it fast or else the sodium builds up in chunks rather than passing through completely.  The seawater is served with a splash of lemon juice so that helps.

I'll try to describe most of the drinks since that's all we're having right now.  We get reintroduced to food (only raw food) at the end of day 5. 

So far so good.  Let's see how much I can push myself.  Pray for me!

Bella Vita: LIfestyle Education Home

Hello fellow bloggers,

I am writing to blog about my experience here at Bella Vita.  For those of you who don't know what that is,  Bella Vita is a natural cleansing program.  10 people for 10 days, living under the same roof for spiritual and physical detoxication and healing.  Bella Vita consists of a 5 day fast with nothing but juices and water.  Then we are reintroduced to raw food on the 6th day.  This health institution is located in the San Joaquin Valley (near stockton/sacramento).

I heard about Bella Vita through my amazing friend/roommate, Giana Vierra.  Giana's dad, Danny Vierra runs the program.  I was a little skeptical at first but after realizing that feeling [fatigue, dizziness, nausea, problems concentrating, ear aches, head aches, problems with vision] isn't normal, I figured it was a good time for a cleanse.  Little did I know that Danny also focuses on the spiritual aspect of healing. It is amazing how everything is connected.

The next 10 days will be intense.  Here are some things I will be doing this week:

  • coffee enimas
  • sauna
  • tons of juices
  • bug juice
  • poultice
  • half of gallon of Seawater in the morning
  • liver flush
  • exercising (lifting weights, swimming, cardio, etc.)

Wish me luck everyone! I don't have a high tolerance for pain, hunger and weird tasting liquids.
